Gila Benezra was born in 1980 in Istanbul. After graduating from Academy Istanbul Advertising Faculty, she worked for some of the top agencies in Turkey. She decided to leave her advertising journey to chase her dream career as a make-up artist. In 2003, she attended in Derya Ergün Makeup Studio Makeup Art Training. Following the fundamental training, she completed Prosthetic Makeup Program in Hampshire Studios in London.
Her first entry to the movie sets was with “Neredesin Firuze”.
Gila expresses her passion as a make-up artist by placing a person into different personalities, by reflecting any era without time and place restrictions, by hiding personas behind masks, and by reflecting a person’s naturalness with all the purity in itself. Currently, she is working as the chief makeup designer for many artistic projects such as commercials, feature films, theater plays, fashion shots. Gila, with her achievements and artistic skills, is acknowledged not only locally but also in a variety of international projects.
